School Playground Accident Crushes Child’s Foot
How It Happened
An elementary school student was playing on an Alta Glide when her right foot was crushed because the equipment
was improperly installed.
Injuries sustained from the accident
The girl’s heel bone suffered an acute mid-calcaneal nondisplaced vertical fracture extending to the subtalar
joint. She had to wear a short leg cast that was non-weight bearing and use a wheelchair to get around. The girl
was treated with physical therapy.
The case settled prior to trial for $40,000.00
