Motor Vehicle Accident – Pedestrian Walking Through Crosswalk When Struck by Vehicle
The plaintiff was walking through a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle leaving a parking lot,
knocking him to the ground. He was checked by EMS for injuries to his left knee, which he could not put any
weight on.
As a result of this accident, the plaintiff had X-rays that showed a fracture of his knee. His knee suffered from
swelling and discomfort with weight-bearing, and he had to use crutches for assistance. He had to undergo
physical therapy to rehabilitate the use of his leg for walking.
