Slip and Fall – Elderly Pedestrian Caused to Fall When Her Walker Got Stuck in Holes in the Pavement
The plaintiff was using her walker when her wheel caught a hole in the sidewalk, causing her to fall and hit her
head. She began coughing up blood and was transported to the hospital by ambulance, where she remained for
several days. She experienced headaches and dizziness while there.
As a result of the accident, she had to begin occupational therapy as well as continue to suffer from headaches
and dizziness due to the concussion she sustained. Because of the continued dizziness, she had to undergo
physical therapy as well and was later diagnosed with “post-concussion syndrome”.
